Pitchfest winners share designs with Nicky Morgan MP

East Midlands firm, Dynamic Flow Technologies Ltd, are celebrating success having been crowned winners of Pitchfest at Venturefest East Midlands last month. The company, who specialise in manufacturing innovative products for the water industry, have further had their success recognised through a visit from Nicky Morgan MP, who was keen to learn more about the impact that their products could have in the water industry.

Having formed in 2009 at Loughborough’s Innovation Centre, Dynamic Flow Technologies saw a need in the water industry for an effective and low cost waste water meter. Their Pitchfest entry was well received by the judging panel who swiftly announced them as winners, beating off stiff competition from a range of business from across the East Midlands.

The company have already secured a UK and US patent for their WasteWater Meter, with EU patent pending. The product, which is 20 times more accurate than their closest competitor has been proven in trials to save businesses up to £800/month through measuring their waste water. The product, which has been in development for a number of years, is now coming onto the market at a perfect time for the water market deregulation, which will allow business much greater freedom over their water supply.

Following the visit, Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP commented, “Congratulations to Dynamic Flow Technologies on their Pitchfest win. As local MP it’s fascinating to see the success that local innovation brings and it’s been wonderful to hear about the company’s exciting plans for the future and how their WasteWater Meter can have such a positive ongoing impact for businesses regionally, nationally and internationally.”

Martin Croft, Managing Director of Dynamic Flow Technologies Ltd, commented, “Dynamic Flow Technologies are delighted to have won the Pitchfest at Venturefest East Midlands, and are grateful to the unanimous votes from the judges in seeing the value that our WasteWater Meter has in the water industry. To have Nicky Morgan come along to see the WasteWater Meter in action in our lab was a fantastic opportunity for us to show the huge potential that there is for our products over the coming years. We’s like to thank all of the investors who have already contacted us after our Pitchfest win and look forward to some interesting discussions in the coming weeks.”
